I wish I had a Nanny

Today I asked my boss if I could take the kiddo with me to the post office.  She told me that would be fine, and surprisingly, she asked if I could take him to the park.  She doesn't like the thought of me leaving the house with him, she never has.  Anyways... When I was at the post office we ran into someone that knew the kiddo.  She said hi and that she didn't remember me, so I informed her that I am the Nanny.  Soon as the words were out of my mouth, the lady behind the counter chimed in saying "I wish I had you when I had kids."  You know what?  It bugs me when people say things like that.  My dream is to be a stay-at-home-mom, in fact I'm even wanting to homeschool my kids.  I want to get as much time with my children as I can while they grow up.  Is it really that crazy to want to be with your kids that much?  Yes my kids will have a life.  Yes we will get out and do things.  No I won't hold them in the house and say they can NEVER LEAVE ME!!! lol.  I just want to be there for every little moment of their life that I can.  My boss... she hired me.  I am the nanny, aka substitute mom.  Half the time I feel I raise her child more than she does.  She'd been working 3 days a week for pretty much the entire first year I've worked here, then she ASKED her boss if she could start working 4 days instead of 3.  You know why?  She said it was because she gets bored being at home in the winter with nothing to do.  I'm not complaining though... not really... that means I get paid more.  Soon she'll be going back to 3 days a week, so what does she do?  She goes and asks her boss if she could continue working 4 days a week, he said no.  I'm not saying she's a bad mother, what I'm saying is.... She could have the life I want.  Her husband makes plenty of money, she doesn't need her job.  She could fire me, she could quit her job, and the life I want... could be hers.  So yeah.... Anyways... I enjoy being a Nanny, but unless I HAVE to... I will never EVER hire one to take care of my kids, that's the mommy's job.
