It sounds cannibalistic to say you hunger for a child, but the feeling is quite similar to hunger. You have a deep desire within yourself that you can't seem to satisfy. You're starving and nothing can sustain you. In dreams you find comfort for the hunger in your heart, but upon waking there's only fading memories of what the future might feel like. A future you are uncertain will ever come to pass. Now your hunger is even greater than it was before. To almost touch the intangible. To almost grasp the unreal. To almost feel what was never there, and may never be. Your heart is dying from starvation, and no one understands.
