Jared's poem

Upon waking
Only memories remain
Of your wishes for the morrow
And tears fall like rain

For the dream holds
What you wish for there to be
A child that is a part of you
And a part of me

Boy or girl, it matters not
With either my heart would sing
Just to feel the wonders
The little one could bring

It just doesn't feel the same
To love a child not your own
Knowing when you leave their house
They're already home

Finding respite
Only in your sleep
Sometimes wishing not to wake
For the "memories" to keep
