So many times we put off what we are going to do because... well it can always wait. I found a poem I started back in April of 2010 but hadn't completed. Well... I just completed it!!! In hopes to not put off until tomorrow..... Here's my encouraging poem:
Tomorrow?
Time passes by,
Like a movie on the screen.
A blur it disappears.
Life's longer than it seems.
Days, weeks, months.
You turn around and the year is gone.
You wonder where time went,
As we rotate around the sun.
Our hopes, our lives, our memories,
The future, the present, the past.
Living life expectantly,
We cling to things we can not grasp.
Today is yesterday's tomorrow.
The future is at our gate.
But we say "There's always tomorrow",
While today we sit and wait!
What happens when there's no more tomorrows?
What happens when your time has come?
What happens when you can't put off,
And you have all these things undone?
I fear for those around us,
And I fear for your soul!
What if in the end,
We ourselves aren't whole?
Plan for the future,
But start your plans today!
Today is yesterday's tomorrow,
What more can I say.
