| My forgotten Mother's Day flower |
Mother's Day.... We forgot it was Mother's Day. Yay us! A week or so ago I asked my wonderful husband if we could celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day this year. After all we have two beautiful furry boys, Nick (dog) & Frosty (cat). I was very happy when he said, "Sure I think we can do that." Then today... Nothing happened. Jared had to work at McDonald's from 11am-3pm today. So we skipped going to church this morning and decided we would just go to evening service. We didn't realize it was Mother's Day until we went tonight, thought it was next week. So... we didn't celebrate. I was never told "Happy Mother's Day". And this beautiful flower I have.... I rescued it from a shopping cart at Walmart when we were doing our grocery shopping tonight. My mother's day was forgotten... And so was this flower. I felt pity for it and brought it home. Happy Mother's Day! Maybe next year we'll celebrate....
