I always dream. I don't always remember my dreams for long, but I don't know when the last night has gone by that I don't remember dreaming at all. And sometimes I remember lots about my dreams. And sometimes I remember several different dreams. And I've been remembering bits of several several different dreams lately. Dreams are always weird though. They never quite make sense. Even if what happens makes sense, where it happens might not. Something is always off... *recent examples*
I have been craving a peppermint mocha from McDonald's lately, unfortunately last time I went they no longer have it. Well in my dream.... Jared and I traveled out of town just so I could get a McCafe peppermint mocha, but when we got to the drive thru, they said they didn't have it. But that they have a cinnamon mocha. It wasn't on their menu anywhere, but she said they had one. And oh that sounded good! So I got one. I remember the taste, it was very yummy. But as I'm drinking it I think "but what if I'm pregnant?" *i tell this story to my husband in the morning, he says I should have thought of that first*
I'm at my parents house. I still live at home. I have several siblings (real life I have 6). We're on our second run of kids. There's 5 of us older, and now there are 4 little ones. A maintenance man comes over to the house. There's a little boy with bright blue eyes sitting in a bumbo seat. The man looks around at the little kids and makes some comment I no longer remember (probably something like my mom is crazy, or are all of these my siblings?). The man looks at the little boy with bright blue eyes, and I say, This one's mine. *in the back of my mind this doesn't make sense, because I have brown eyes. further back in my mind I realize I'm married and my husband has green eyes*
Or the one that included my mother-in-law saying she loves living in apartments... my father-in-law looking at the "penny and dime stores" for a new mattress... my mommy calling telling me the cleaning lady at our wedding reception didn't know if she should start cleaning yet or not because we just left before we even cut the cake or opened any gifts.... oops we better go back and take care of that. Yeah...
Oh and these three dreams I just recounted all happened last night. Only reason I probably remember any of them was because I started telling them to Jared as soon as I woke up. If you can verbalize a dream before it's left your memory, it's a lot easier to hold on to. So yeah, this is a random post about dreams =)
