Well I already weeded through and updated my layout, so... check!
And I got an About Me page now, so... check!
But I never got around to updating my background. I was thinking more of a bright green grass background, you know, something more spring-y. I still like how everything looks together, but it feels too fall/winterish. But that takes like an entire day for me to figure out the perfect background, and get the fonts and boxes and such the colors I want, and I need... Well when I refresh the look of my page I always want EVERYTHING to coordinate. I'm a bit OCD like that. Oh well, I guess updating the "look" of my blog will have to wait.
I also wanted to add to my list of poems on here, pretty sure I've written at least 2 more I haven't posted yet. Well that is "infertility related" poems, I never seem to post any of the others I've written. Course over the last few years that's about the topic of all of mine... I wrote a war poem last spring. Would you want to read a poem about war? It is very different from anything else I've written. It's based off a dream I had had that morning. Which I never dream about war either, so it was very out of the blue. Anyways... I can probably go ahead and post those.
I've been really busy this week filling out a million papers for possibly becoming private foster parents, so we might could adopt a little kid through that. But I've come to realize the Christian group we're trying to go through is supported by a different church denomination than the one we are currently attending so... Well unfortunately some churches believe that "their way" is the "only way". Which really doesn't make any sense. You see Jesus is THE WAY, and if we are all following THE WAY, then we should all be on the same path... right? Some people will tell you that they believe people from all different denominations will go to Heaven, but they are strictly Baptist. They will only do things the "Baptist way" and will frown upon someone straying from that "way". I personally find it absolutely ridiculous. If you've ever wondered why there aren't more Christians out there, or if you're a Christian and can't get your friends to come to church... the answer is very simple. John 13:35 says, "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Most people in the church don't show love for their own brothers and sisters in Christ like they should. Jesus is very clear that He is the only WAY, which means everyone who is a Christian is a brother and sister through Christ, which puts us all in the same boat. Do you get it? We're of the same body of Christ! So when church denominations separate themselves from each other it's like big family feuds. Brothers and sisters will have their disagreements, but they should never disassociate with one another. A church can have an awesome sign, the prettiest walls, and all sorts of programs to offer, but if we don't look like we care about each other.... Well who wants to be a part of that? They can find something to entertain their time somewhere else. Anyways... what was I saying? Oh, well I just sent a message to see if the church we attend will be a problem for us to be able to become foster parents through them, still waiting for a reply.
So... I guess I went off on a rant for a moment there, huh? lol. Welp my stomach is reminding me now that I haven't gotten around to eating breakfast yet, so I should probably go do that. Maybe I'll get around to posting those new-ish IF poems later today. We shall see. =)
